The Ohio train derailment occurred on February 3, 2023, at 8:55 p.m. EST, when 38 cars of a Norfolk Southern freight train carrying hazardous materials derailed in East Palestine, Ohio, United States.
The following Sunday, the EPA officials said that they did not detect any contaminants in the air. The towns people knew otherwise. Evident by shortness of breath, rashes and difficulty breathing- people knew that they werent getting the truth.
On 6 February, officials decided to “burn off” the vinyl chloride rather than risk it exploding. The EPA said that there was a small uptick in toxins near the burn site and that it was to be expected. Dead fish started turning up in streams.
February 8th the evacuation orders were lifted and the people were told the water was safe to drink. The forgotten people of East Palestine knew they werent getting the truth.
To this day there are alot of unanswered questions.
